JAMMU, July 28: Army Public School Kaluchak organized a two days CBSE Sahodya Jammu Schools Under 19 Boys Badminton Competition, here.
Twelve schools namely BSF School, Jodhamal Public School, Jammu Sanskriti, APS Nagrota, Heritage Public School, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Damana, DPS Kathua, MV International School, Doon International School and APS Kaluchak participated in the event.
It was nip and tuck between the teams of APS Kaluchak and APS Jammu Cantt in the finals. The students of APS Jammu Cantt proved their mettle in the category of doubles and singles to emerge as winners, while the students of APS Kaluchak remained as the runners-up. The students of DPS Kathua bagged third position.
Aryaveer Singh, Aryan Nagpal, Hasrat Gupta and Shubham Sangwan clinched the winners trophy.
The purpose of this competition was to bring the youth together under one roof, celebrate sports and develop healthy competition amongst youngsters.
The winners were felicitated by Brig. Atul Kumar SM, Chairman APS Kaluchak in the valedictory function.
