UDHAMPUR, Dec 30: Army Public School Dhar Road celebrated Annual Day with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere in the School premises, here today.
Brig Vikas Gupta, VSM, chairman of the institution was the chief guest in the first session, while Col Bijoy Choudhary was the chief guest in the second session.
Col AK Sharma was the guest of honour.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest by lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the presentation of Ganesh Vandana.
Principal Jyoti Badyal presented the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school.
The students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant performances. The cultural bonanza was highly impressive and the parents were spellbound by the programme presented on dogri culture. Students mesmerized the audience with their energetic performance on ‘desi bhangra’ and ‘angrezi’ beats.
The chief guest felicitated the achievers for their excellence in different fields.
Rutvi, Radhika and Shivanshi who were the toppers in class 10th during the session 2016-2017 were awarded with cash prize and trophy, while Lovereen Bhagat of class 10th was the best sportsperson of the year. The best house trophy was won by Ravi House. The teachers were also felicitated for their exemplary dedication and devotion.
Priyanka Rajput was awarded as the best teacher for the session 2016-2017.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Principal of the school, Jyoti Badyal.
The chief guest, in his address lauded the whole event and congratulated the school fraternity for such a presentation.
The function concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
