JAMMU, May 19: Army Public School Damana organized investiture ceremony in an impressive function in the school premises, here.
The Chairman of the School was the chief guest on the occasion.
On this occasion, the chief guest conferred the elected Students Council members with the sachets and badges.
The prominent among the members of Students’ Council were the School Head Boy, Sparsh Mahajan of class XII and Head Girl, Preeti Sharma of class XII and the junior Head Boy, Vineet Sharma of class VI and Head Girl, Komal Rajput of class VI. Besides, student coordinator, academic in-charge, discipline in-charge, sports in-charge, co-curricular activities in-charge, cultural in-charge, health in-charge, debate in-charge, quiz in-charge, IT Club in-charge, Eco Club in-charge and four House Captains were also given respective sachets, badges and flags by the chief guest. In addition, the chief guest gave away a cheque of Rs 5,000 on behalf of GOC Raising Star Corps and another cheque of Rs 5,000 on behalf of the School Management in addition to a track suit on behalf of GOC Tiger Division to Sandeep Choudhary, a student of class XII for his exceptional performance in Karate International event held in Kuala Lumpur.
An HCL Tablet and a travel voucher worth Rs 2,500 was also given to Master Jai Sharma of class III by the chief guest for qualifying second level of Maths Olympiad conducted by Eduheal Foundation.
The appointed School Head Boy and Head Girl administered the oath of responsibility to the Students’ Council wherein they pledged to uphold the glory and tradition of the School.
In his speech, the chief guest complimented the students, teachers and the Principal for their concerted efforts in curricular and co-curricular activities.
The function concluded with the presentation of the National Anthem.
