SAMBA, Sept 6: Army Public School B D Bari claimed twin volleyball titles in Under-14 and Under-19 girls at Kelhi Mandi ground, here today.
In the Under-14 girls final, B D Bari defeated GHS Suchani, while in Under-19 girls BD Bari defeated HSS Rahya.
Meanwhile in Under-17 girls GHS Suchani trounced APS B D Bari in a well contested match.
In kho-kho Under-19 girls, GHSS Samba defeated HSS Vijaypur in final by 3 points, while in kabaddi Under-19 girls, HSS Sumb defeated HSS Nud narrowly by one point in a the final, which was witnesses by a large number of people.
The matches were officiated by Sanjeev Singh, Raghubir Singh, Anirudh Singh, Sandeep Singh, Kulbir Singh, Zorawar Singh, Dalbir Singh, Roopa Sambyal, Sushma Sambyal, Jagdish Rak, Chander Parkash, Vinod Sharma, Shashi Sambyal, Rajinder Singh and Puran Chander.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Jarpal Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba.
