JAMMU, Apr 16: Apex Cricket Club registered a convincing 40-run victory over Gentle Giants in the ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament at Maulana Azad Stadium. The tournament is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association.
After winning the toss, Apex CC skipper Arun Sharma opted to bat first. The team posted a competitive total of 174 runs in 20 overs. Ajay Singh led the charge with a quick 40 off 16 balls, while Eshan scored 30 off 13 deliveries. Shobnam added 32 runs and Arun Sharma contributed a valuable 25 runs to strengthen the innings.
For Gentle Giants, Sahil and Bobby Thakur claimed three wickets each, while Anmol took two and Ashish Kohli picked up one.
Chasing 175, Gentle Giants were bowled out for 134 runs in 19 overs despite a fighting 50 off 34 balls by Vishavjeet Singh. Apex bowlers dominated, with Arun Sharma and Parav Tak taking three wickets each, while Rahul claimed two. Arun Sharma was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
