AP cop dazzles in World Police Games

Hyderabad, Aug 5: Belfast has been the chosen  destination for the Vijayawada-based constable, Tulasi Chaitanya, to make a splash and get noticed across the world. The prodigiously gifted swimmer from Andhra Pradesh dazzled at the ongoing World Police Games at Belfast to superlative levels.

Not only has he brought laurels to his department and  the state but also to the nation with his amazing exploits that included a breathtaking haul of six medals, including three gold and three silver today.

Quite ironically, he won a medal in each of the event he participated in what could be a momentous turnaround for Indian swimming as a whole.

Tulasi Chaitanya followed up the first day’s relay gold  with another in the 4X50 medley relay.

He was in his elements in individual competitions winning the yellow metal in 100mts freestyle and one silver each in three more events for an unprecedented six-medal tally. (UNI)
