Anshu, Surbhi, Priyanka emerge winners in Debate competition

JAMMU, Nov 26: To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Government Mixed Camp Higher Secondary School, Roop Nagar organized a Debate competition on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
In the debate competition, students from class 6th to 12th participated and expressed their views.
On the occasion, Swami Ekarthananda of Shri Rama Krishan Mission was the chief guest, while Puran Chand Sharma, Maha Nagar Sanyojak and SK Jain, Kendriya Sagathan Mantri of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari were the guests of honour. Suresh, Pyaray Lal Raina and RL Koul, social activists were also present. The programme was presided over by Dr AK Razdan and AK Bhat, Principals of the institutions.
While throwing the light on the life and teachings of the Swami Vivekananda, Swami Ekarthananda said that the teachings of the Swami Vivekananda are more relevant in scientific developments.
In the competition, Anshu Bhat of class 7th, Surbhi of class 8th and Priyanka Sharma of class 6th secured first, second and third positions respectively.
The jury members, who adjudged the performance of the students were RK Pandita, Anjali Khazanchi and Pinul Kumar.
The whole programme was compeered by Renuka Bhat, whereas Bali ji Marhatta presented vote of thanks.
