JAMMU, Nov 23: Ansh Chopra proved his mettle again and lifted the title trophy of the Sub Junior Snooker event during the ongoing 26th J&K State Snooker and Billiards Champ-ionship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Ansh Chopra defeated Umar-ul-Islam by 3-2 frames. In the first frame, Ansh Chopra registered win over Umar-ul-Islam by 60-17 points, whereas in the second set, Umar-ul-Islam bounced back and won the frame by 74-10 points thereby equalizing the game.
In the third frame, Umar-ul-Islam registered win over Ansh Chopra by 69-32 and raised the scoreboard to 2-1 frames.
Ansh Chopra felt nervous, but caught hold of the game and won the fourth frame by 67-40 to equalize the game by 2-2.
In the decider frame, Ansh Chopra maintained supremacy, registered win by 60-12 and lifted the title trophy of the Sub Junior Snooker.
The match was officiated by Rakesh Sharma, marker.
The Championship is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
