SAMBA, Sept 28: Two days annual sports meet of Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan Bari Brahmana concluded today.
On the occasion, Faisal Qureshi Additional Superintendent of Police, Samba was the chief guest, while Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana presided over the function. Puran Chand Chairman, Municipal Committee, Bari Brahmana was the guest of Honour. Swarn Singh Charak President, Data Ranpat Dev Committee, Rakesh Charak President, Charak Biradari, Ashok Charak, Jagdev Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
The function started with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by the welcome address by Anshu Billowria Incharge Junior Wing.
The main attractions of the closing day were Aerobics, Kho-Kho, Basketball, King of the Circle, Ball, Spoon Lemon race, Balloon Bursting, One Leg Race, Shoe and Socks Race, Pyramid Making, Banana Eating, Crawl walk, Sack Race, etc.
While speaking, ASP Faisal Qureshi expressed optimism that the two day long sports events will provide suitable platform to the students of the school to show case their hidden sporting talent and further inspires them to excel in sports in future.
He urged the students of the school to pursue their sporting passion with utmost seriousness to achieve greater heights in the field of sports. He told the gathering that games and sports are part and parcel of school curriculum. By taking active part in games and sports, the students can maintain their good health and will keep themselves away from anti-social activities.
He advised the students to remain away from any kind of drug addiction as this will not only affect their health but will also spoil their life. He cautioned them to remain vigilant in their surroundings and stressed them to keep an eye on the activities of other fellow students.
He stressed upon the students to remain active with internet but always be positive and do not forget to interact with their peers.
In the end, ASP presented medals and trophies to the winners of different competitions in presence of Principal of the school Anku Charak Vice Principal and Akashdeep Raina Incharge.
Vote of thanks was presented by Sarita Jamwal Activity Incharge.
The stage was managed by Namrata Sharma Incharge Senior wing, while all the sports events took place under the supervision of Ajay Sharma Convener and Mahan Singh Sports Incharge.
