UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: Three days Annual Sports Meet being organized at Boys Hr Secondary School Udhampur was declared open by Bishan Singh, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, while Ram Kumar Gupta, Deputy Chief Education Officer was the guest of honour.
The Inter House matches in Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Badminton,Table Tennis and Athletics will be organized during the Meet.
The inaugural function was presided over by Sunil Sharma, Principal of the Institution who himself is a National Player of Volleyball.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma said that frequent sports and other Co-curricular activities are always helpful for developing the balanced personality of children.
The matches were officiated by Bhim Sein, Sanjay Sharma and Amit Sharma.
Jehlum House defeated Chinab House in Kabaddi, while in Basketball, Tawi House defeated Ravi House by 2-0. Other matches will be played tomorrow.
