JAMMU, Feb 10: Jammu Adventure Sports Club today organised Annual SP Sahni Memorial debate competition in collaboration with Bharti Foundation at Government Middle School, Satwari here.
The topic of debate was ‘Internet a Blessing or a Curse’ , wherein 34 students from 17 schools participated.
Zonal Education Officer, Satwari, Anjali Gupta was the chief guest and officiated the function while Neelam Gandotra, Principal HSS Satwari was the guest of honour.
First prize and second prize of Rs 3000 and 2000 was bagged by Lakhan and Manisha, both of Government Middle School, Upper Gadigarh while third prize of Rs 1000 was clinched by Ankita of Government Middle School, Satwari.
The rolling trophy was bagged by the Government Middle School, Satwari. The judges of the event were Veena Gupta, Head Master Jammu Canonment, Madhu Kitroo and Arjun Veer Rana.
The welcome address was given by Mala Broca while vote of thanks was presented by Bhavana Sethi, Secretary of the Club.
The club members who were present during the competition include Manmohan, Dinesh, Kuldeep Wahi, Neelam Bhalla, Jiti, Sarita Wahi, Sudhir, Prabha Kapoor, TP Broca and Sandiip A Sethi.
