JAMMU, Aug 5: Brilliant bowling display by Ankush and a superb batting performance by Chamkor and Puneet helped JKCC to thrash GNCC in an easy contest via net run rate method as rain interrupted play in the second innings of the match at Satwari Cantt ground, here today.
The Tournament is being organized by Youth National Conference, under the supervision of NC leader, Surinder Singh Bunty.
Earlier, winning the toss and bating first, JKCC scored a decent total of 183 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Chamkor Singh was the top scorer with 52 runs of 39 balls, while Puneet Kumar contributed powetr-packed 45 runs off just 17 balls. For GNCC, Binder took 3 wickets, while Bunty and Kaka claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, GNCC were struggling when rain stopped the match and the match was decided on net run rate method after six overs of GNCC innings. Sachin and Dheeraj contributed 18 and 15 runs to the total respectively. Ankush was the wrecker-in-chief for JKCC, who bagged 4 important wickets, while Monu, Gora and Raja claimed one wicket each. Ankush was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
