KATHUA, Aug 5: Madhav of Public Modern HSS Hiranagar lifted the badminton title, while Ajay Kumar of Govt HSS Marheen won Table Tennis in the Zonal level Inter-School Under-19 boys tournaments OF Hiranagar zone, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium Hiranagar. here.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of DYSSO Kathua, Sunil Kumar.
Earlier, In badminton Under-19 boys single, Madhav Mahajan of Public Modern Hr. Secondary School defeated Akhil Mahajan of Govt HSS Sallan by 2-0, while in badminton Under-19 boys doubles, Madhav Mahajan and Raghav Rattan Paul of Moder Public HSS Hiranagar defeated Akhil Mahajan and Sahil Verma of Rose Public School Marheen by 2-1 sets.
In Table Tennis Under-19 boys singles, Renkum Singh defeated Surjeet Singh of Govt HSS Marheen by 2 points, while in Table Tennis Under-19 boys doubles, Ajay Kumar and Sanjeev Singh of Govt HSS Marheen defeated Dinesh Bharti and Rinkum Singh in an easy contest.
The matches were officiated by Uttam Singh, Sham Lal Sudarshan Kumar, Naresh Paul, Manmohal Singh, Shashi Paul and Sanjay Kumar.
Sukesh Kumar ZPEO Hiranagar, Ganesh Dass and Sanjeev Sunny were also present on the occasion.
