JAMMU, Dec 29: Representing Jammu and Kashmir, Angad Singh Walia of Army Public School, Udhampur participated in 57th National Shooting Championship and produced excellent performance at Dr Kirni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi recently.
Around 3000 shooters from across the country participated in the event and Angad took part in the 10m Air Rifle event in Youth category.
He made the State proud with his excellent performance and qualified for the trials to pick the National squad.
The qualifying score for the selection for National squad trials was 575 points, while the youngster scored 591 points and qualified with flying colors.
Trials for picking National squad will be held under the aegis of National Rifle Association of India at New Delhi starting from January 15, 2014.
