ANANTNAG, Sept 20: Anantnag Women’s cricket team today lifted trophy of women cricket tournament, organised by Anantnag police at Government Degree College, here.
The final match was played between Kulgam and Anantnag teams.
Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar, DIG Atul Goel and DC Anantnag witnessed the final match.
DGP presented trophy and cash prizes to both winning and runner up teams. He promised that more such tournaments would be organised in the future also and JKP would make all the efforts to encourage the sports talent of the District and the UT.
SSP, Sandeep Choudhary thanked the DGP for encouraging the youth of the district and said that this gesture would go a long way in nurturing a culture of sports in the district.
