UDHAMPUR, June 16: Wrestler Amit of Guru Hanuman Akhara, Delhi and wrestler Lalli of Garhshanker, Punjab jointly shared the title of 52nd Annual Bharnara Kesari Vishal Dangal organized by Bharnara Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style wrestling Association at Bharnara, tehsil Majalta, here.
The first bout was played between Wrestler Amit of Guru Hanuman Akhara, Delhi and wrestler Lalli of Garhshanker, which ended in draw and both the wrestlers shared the title trophy.
In the second bout, Sukha of Jallandhar defeated Kapil of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi whereas in the third bout Tinku of Rothak smashed Bittu of Delhi.
On the occasion, former Minister Harshdev Singh was the chief guest who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runner-up wrestlers in presence of President J&K Indian Style wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Sharma, President District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Varinder Badyal, District Manager JCC Bank Jagdish Raj Sharma, Contractor Ashok Kumar, Sub Inspector Medh Singh, Sarpanch Karnail Singh, Sarpanch Dharan Singh, Sarpanch Balwant Rai, Sarpanch Bodh Raj, Ex Sarpanch Karan Singh and General Secretary District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Om Parkash Verma.
In the end, President, Dangal Committee Sarpanch Rajesh Sharma presented vote of tanks.
OTHER RESULTS: Arif of Manwal beat Rohit of Delhi, Jabbar of Ghaziabad crushed Ali of Kathua, Sheru of Ghaziabad smashed Rinku of Banaras (UP), Anayat of Manwal routed Bhupinder of Banaras, Sagar of Delhi outplayed Chinni of Banaras and Gurpreet of Rajasthan crushed Puran Singh of Jallandar. Bouts played between Shotu of Jindrah and Rashid of Jammu, Rajan of Banaras and Gopal Sharma of Jindrah ended in draw.
