Amateur Cricket Club to depute cricketers to Bangalore for fitness camp, practice matches

SRINAGAR, Jan 5: As Srinagar witnessed season’s first snowfall thus bringing sports activity to virtual halt, Amateur Cricket Club (ACC), Srinaagr, one of the premier cricket promoting organization in the Valley, has decided to depute talented cricketers to Bangalore for fitness camp,  practice  matches and advanced coaching by experts in the field.
“It is an effort to give a wider exposure to the cricketers apart from providing them a chance to play with reputed teams”, the president of the Club, Mohi-ud-Din Mirza said here on Tuesday.
Mr Mirza said that apart from boarding and lodging the participants would be provided all the logistical support to sharpen their skill.
He further said the Club will take care of the requirements of the cricketers during 20-day camp, adding that the Club has been providing all necessary incentives to the team members to ensure their focused attention to the game.
“To keep the players focused, we will be arranging matches with other teams in a bid to expose them on larger canvass”, Mr Mirza said, adding that the Club has the distinction of producing cricketers of repute in the past.
