DODA, May 14: Aligarh XI and Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) Thathri crushed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda at Sports Stadium here.
In the first match, Himachal Pradesh after winning the toss set a target of 98 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Dharmendra and Yogesh scored 15 and 11 runs respectively.
From Aligarh XI side, Manpreet and Navneet took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Aligarh XI chased the target in 10.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Jaggi was the highest scorer with 48 runs while Vicky contributed with 28 runs.
From Himachal Pradesh side, Jitendra and Yogesh scalped 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Manpreet of Aligarh XI was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
In the second match, batting first after winning the toss, Indian XI made paltry 72 runs for all out in 12.3 overs. Sushil scored 12 runs while Gazi Mir contributed with 10 runs.
From Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) Thathri side, Pradeep was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Kanishk Sharma also scalped 3 wickets.
In the second inning, batsman of Manhas Cricket Club Thathri managed to achieve the stipulated target in 10.3 overs by loosing 6 wickets. Vicky was the top scorer with 16 runs while Kavit made 12 runs.
From Indian XI, Udit Narayan and Anurodh took 3 and 1 wickets respectively.
Pradeep Manhas of MCC Thathri was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
The matches were officiated by Aayush Sharma, Bharat Jajuriya, Munish Zutshi and Noshair Batt as Umpires, while Rinku Bhaduria acted as scorer and Ashok Sharma (Video Analyst) as third umpire.
