Jammu, Jan 14: Akshit (Ansh), Sachin Sharma and Adhishwer Kotwal blossomed as Vishal Cricket Club Juniors registered win over Jammu Rising Stars and lifted the 7-Match T20 Cricket Series for Under-16 boys, organized by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu at Parade Ground, here.
Akshit scored 275 runs in the Tournament and was declared as the best batsman, while Sachin Sharma took 11 wickets and scored 110 runs to be adjudged as the man of the series. Adhishwer Kotwal scalped 12 wickets and was declared as the best bowler of the Tournament.
Jung Bahadur Singh Judicial Member State Human Rights Commission and Working Committee Member JKCA was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while SSP RK Bhat was the special guest. The chief guests and other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners.
Earlier, Jammu Rising Stars while batting first scored 107 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Achintya top scored with 30 runs. Naiyan took 3 wickets, while Shavac bagged 2 wickets. Dhruv and Adhishwer shared 1 wicket each.
In reply Vishal Club Juniors chased the target in 16 overs by losing 6 wickets. Sachin top scored with 23 runs, while Rohan Gill scored 18 runs. Akshit contributed 16 runs to the total. From Jammu Rising Stars, Nalin took 3 wickets while Daman, Prayas and Sourav claimed 1 wicket each. Naiyan was adjudged man of the match.
