JAMMU, Oct 17: Ajay Constructions registered win over Manhas-XI by 43 runs in the inaugural tie of the Navratri Cup (Triangular Series), being played at Kot Bhalwal Stadium, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Ajay Constructions scored 156 runs in Stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Raman Thaploo played a splendid inning of 69 runs, while Sanchit Dass made 38 runs and Ravi Sharma scored 23 runs.
From Manhas-XI, Ashwani Manhas and Vikram Singh scalped 3 wickets each, while Deepak Manhas got 1 wicket.
In Reply, Manhas XI could not chase the target and lost all his wickets for the score of 112 in 17.4 Overs. Deepak Manhas was the top scorer with 43 runs, while Arif Hussain made 27 runs and Lucky Manhas chipped in 19 runs.
From Ajay Constructions, Anil Sodhi got 4 wickets, while Shantanu and Kuldip took 2 wickets and Arun bagged 1 wicket.
Raman Thaploo of Ajay Constructions was awarded as Man of the Match.
The triangular series is organized by Ajay Constructions Bantalab.
The next match will be played tomorrow between Manhas-XI and Strikers Club.
