AIR organizing music competition

JAMMU, May 13: To encourage new talent among young artists, All India Radio (AIR) is organizing music competition.
The competition will be held in two stages. The preliminary competition will be held at every regional station of AIR and final competition will be held at Delhi and Chennai for Hindustani and Karnatic music respectively.
The competition will be open to those, who are between 16 to 24 years of age on June 21, 2013 and who are not performing music artists of AIR, duly approved and graded by LAC/MAB held at any Air Stations, till the date of the competition.
The competition will cover vocal music, instrumental music and Vrindgaan (chorus) categories.
The preliminary competition will be held from August 5 to 30 and winners will be recorded for the final competition.
The interested candidates can submit their forms on or before June 14 along with  Rs 300 participating fee to Station Director, Radio Kashmir, Jammu on any working day.
