UDHAMPUR, May 4: Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports distributed scholarships, medals and certificates among 29 players in a ‘Sports Scholarship Award Ceremony’ at new Community Hall, MH Road, here today.
A scholarship of Rs 1750 each and participation certificate was awarded to the players of Udhampur district who had participated in 58th National School Games in various sports disciplines.
Earlier, Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO Udhampur presented welcome address.
The chief guest in his speech exhorted the National players to work harder and yield better results and assured them that the department would leave no stone unturned in raising infrastructure and providing standard equipment, facilities and better competition to the players to achieve heights.
Among others present on the occasion were Gareeb Dass, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Benam Tosh, SSP Udhampur, Mukesh Kumar, Commandant 137 Bn CRPF Udhampur, Suram Singh DySP DAR Udhampur, Bodh Raj DySP Civil Defence, Sukhdev Baseen DySP HQ, Bushan Lal Bali Jail Superintendent, Pawan Sharma DySP SKPA Udhampur, Principals, ZPEOs, Lecturers Physical Education, Head Masters, prominent citizens and parents of the children.
