JAMMU, June 11: The 10-day Adventure Camp, organized by Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab concluded with an impressive valedictory function in the school premises, here today.
According to Puja Sharma, Principal of the School, the students were trained in various sports events and recreational activities during the camp. The activities included sport climbing, beam balancing, Tarzan swing, rope knots and tent pitching. The films on adventure sports were also screened which infused interest among the students.
Besides these activities, over 100 students drawn from local schools as also from Kathua, Akhnoor and Delhi also enjoyed dance, music, Taekwondo, yoga, splash pool, magic show and art and craft.
The activities were held under the guidance of the panel of experts including Rahul, Anil Kumar, Rajni Verma, Gurinder Rakwal, Nitin Kumar, Preeti Kesar, Neha Dutta, Poonam Mishra and Anu Bhat.
SDM, RS Pura SP Rukwal was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners of various events.
Among others present on the occasion were Sanjit Khajuria, Assistant Director Doordarshan Kendra Jammu and Ram Khajuria, general secretary, Mountaineering Association of J&K.
The winners in Taekwondo junior category included Divyansh Prashar, Radhika Sharma and Vansh Raina, who claimed first three places respectively, while Shaurya Sharma, Navya Sharma and Akshad Sharma were winners in sub junior category.
Ashu Pandita, Vanshika Deonia and Bhoomika Sharma claimed first three places in Under-12 category respectively.
In sport climbing junior category, Manya Sharma, Aryan Chandel and Vanshika Sharma claimed the first three places respectively, while Devyansh Sharma, Krishana Gupta and Bhavesh Pandita bagged the first three positions in sub junior category. In Under-12 category, Sanyam Nagar claimed the first place while Suhana Sharma and Nikhil Bhagat bagged second and third place respectively.
In beam balancing event, Ayushi Parihar clinched first place, while Harshita Sharma bagged the second spot and Vanshya Sharma claimed the third place.
