JAMMU, Aug 18: Mukesh Singh IPS, ADGP launched the new jerseys of Media Cricket Club in Jammu. He was accompanied by Anil Bhat Bureau Chief, Press Trust of India Jammu, Vivek Suri, Captain MCC & other senior members of the team.
Speaking at the occasion, Mukesh Singh lauded the efforts of Media Cricket Club for taking such initiatives which will motivate more players from media fraternity to join the club.
The ADGP said that media plays a vital role in dissemination of information in the society but despite their commitment to their duties, players of Media Cricket Club are playing good professional cricket for last many years with many victories under their belt and that too against star studded clubs.
Mukesh Singh added that players of Media Cricket Club are very passionate for Cricket which he has himself observed while playing few matches with them under Civic Action program organised by JKP. He wished MCC more success in days to come & assured full support to them.
Rahul Khatri presented vote of thanks and assured Mukesh Singh that despite paucity of time & commitment to their duties, the team will play good cricket round the year.
Vivek Suri, Rahul Khatri, Amit Kumar, Varun Sharma, Abhishek Baru and Aditya from Media Cricket Club were present at the occasion.
Meanwhile, the management of Media XI Cricket Club Jammu clarified that no member of the club is involved in seeking any sponsorship from any individual or organization. The management stated that it has come to its knowledge that some individuals previously associated with the Media XI CC under the name and title of Media Cricket Club Jammu are approaching different bodies and forums for sponsorships.
In an official communication, the elected management of the Club stated that some individuals are approaching different organizations, including police and sports council for different sorts of sponsorships. “Some of the members of Social Media Portals (News), previously associated with the Media XI Cricket Club, are approaching different organizations for sponsorships,” clarified management of the team, adding that in the recent instance, this group of individuals have reportedly approached Jammu and Kashmir Police for sports gears & Jersey.
