JAMMU, Feb 4: ADGP Armed J&K, Arun Kumar Choudhary today felicitated Khalida Bano of J&K Police for winning Silver Medal in 75 kg category in the 28th Senior National Wushu Championship held at Jammu, recently.
Khalida Bano of J&K Police secured Silver Medal in below 75 Kg category. She lost to nail Poonam of SSB, Silver medallist in the 15th World Wushu Championship in a close contest.
It is pertinent to mention here that Khalida Bano earlier bagged 2 Gold Medals in National Wushu Championship and Gold in Lusofonia Games, 2014. J&K Wushu team remained overall 2nd in the Championship.
During the felicitation ceremony held in Armed Police Headquarters J&K Jammu, ADGP Armed J&K appreciated Khalida and Coach of Wushu team Kuldeep Handoo for excellent achievement.
On the felicitation ceremony Staff Officer APHQ, Mahmood Ahmad-SSP, Staff Officer (Sports) Dushyant Sharma-SSP,
DySP (Pers) APHQ Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Inspector Kuldeep Handoo, National Wushu Chief Coach and Inspector Sharat Chander Singh were also present on the occasion.
