JAMMU, Oct 5: Global Helping Hand in collaboration with Jamwal Group of Colleges organized inauguration of Abhishekh Medicinal and Aromatic garden, near here.
RK Pandita, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner inaugurated the Garden in an impressive and well attended function.
Speaking on the occasion after planting saplings in the Garden, Pandita threw light on the rationale of organizing such programmes.
Appreciating the mission taken up by GHH, he appealed the public to follow the steps and assured his full support and cooperation to the organization.
Dr KK Kitchlu, president of GHH said that joining this organization is a noble cause.
Er Vidhi Singh Jamwal, chairman Jamwal group of Colleges said that the earth was once covered with medicinal and aromatic herbs by which the life was disease free and emphasized that one and all should plant these herbs and free human being from the menace of artificial medicines.
Shiv Devsingh Jamwal, vice chairman Jamwal Group of Colleges while speaking on the occasion said the drastic changes to the weather are due to the depletion of forest cover.
Er Renu Bangaroo, managing director Jamwal Group of Colleges laid emphasis on the plantation of ornamental plants, while Jatinder K Bhat, chairman GHH informed that about 5 lakh saplings will be planted this year in and around Jammu City to make our State green.
Ajay Jamwal, head TPO, Banu Pratap Singh, TPO, Col Raina (retd), Dr CM Sethi, Director WWF Nature India J&K and Lokesh Dhar, Landscapist also spoke on the occasion.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Sameer, the founder member of GHH.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were C L Bangroo, Project Engineer, Shruti Khajuria, Jwala Handoo, Supriya Anand, Archana Sharma and Bodh Raj, OSD.
