JAMMU, Nov 19: Cueists Abhishek Pathania, Ishuk Chowdhary and Umer Himanyun got the better of their rivals in the Six Red Balls Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Abhishek Pathania prevailed over Nikhil Kapahi by 4-1 (31-01, 17-02, 42-34, 40-14, 32-17), while in other match, Ishuk Chowdhary trounced Sohail Khalid in a close contest by 4-3 (31-38, 12-34, 42-10, 23-37, 43-15, 15-45, 35-20). In an exciting contest, Ishuk won the first frame, while Sohail claimed second. Ishuk bounced back to clinch third frame. Sohail won fourth, while Ishuk bagged fifth. Sohail won the sixth frame to make it (3-3). However, Ishuk claimed the last frame to win the title in a nail biting contest.
In another match, Umer Himanyun drubbed Vishal Abrol by 4-1 (7-45, 28-26, 44-4, 43-14, 33-24).
