‘Aapka School Aapke Pass’ initiative launched

JAMMU, Oct 14: Dr Piyush Singla, SDM Jammu North, today started a unique initiative of “Aapka School Aapke Pass” at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Domana where relief camp is being operated for border firing victims.
As a part of the initiative teachers from nearby schools are roped in to teach the children in the camp. The groups were made as per educational requirements of the students. Children are also provided with the books as per their class standard along with stationary in the form of note books, pens, pencils etc.
Nearly 150 students participated in the initiative and more children from nearby areas are expected to join.
Also painting competition and other quizzes are planned as part of initiative in the coming time, so that best of education facilities can be provided to the displaced border area children.
The camp is also equipped with facilities like dispensary, lodging, sanitation and ration provisioning etc.
