JAMMU, Oct 14: In the Inter School Athletics Competition held at Degree College Poonch, Athletic team of Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Poonch won the overall Athletic Championship.
The championship was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Poonch.
The Athletics team of GBHSS was escorted by Harbans Singh (PEM).
In 100 metres and 200 metres races, Anand Kumar emerged winner; in shotput and javellin, Mohd Azad won the first position; in 400 m race, Irfan Mehmood won; in 1500 m and 800 m races, Tanq Mehmood and Zabir Ahmed emerged winners.
Mohd Sarfraz emerged winner in Long Jump and Triple Jump while Mohd Sageer won in High Jump.
Principal, Kirath Singh, distributed the medals and prizes to the winners.
