JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, July 1: Star XI Dara Club today registered a 42 runs victory against Malik (Junior) Club to qualify for the next round of the District Poonch Cricket Tournament , while Evershine Cricket Club defeated Vriddhi Royals by 6 wickets to advance in District Jammu Cricket Tournament, being organised by J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, batting first, Star XI scored 138 runs in 27 overs. Danish Riaz made highest 42 runs. From Malik Club, Mumtaz emerged as most successful bowler with three wickets while Manzoor and Liaqat shared two wickets each.
In reply, Malik Club bundled out for paltry 97 runs in 19 overs, thus lost the match by 42 runs. Azad top scored with 40 runs. Sajan took 4 important wickets of Star XI. Dara Mahir and Danish bagged 3 wickets each. Danish was adjudged as the man of the match for his all round show.
At GGM Science College Jammu, Evershine Cricket Club defeated Vriddhy Royals by 6 wickets.
Put into bat, Vriddhy Royals scored 160 runs in 29.1 overs. Aryan Gandral top scored with 80 runs, while Shivam Koul contributed 29 runs to the total. Chamkor Singh and Bunty took 3 wickets each from Evershine Club.
In reply, Evershine Club chased the target by losing 4 wickets. Gagan top scored with 49 runs, while Vikas contributed 41 runs to the total. Balbir contributed 23 runs to the total. From Vriddhy Royals, Dhruv took 2 wickets, while Tarun and Tegvansh claimed one wicket each.
