IPL-6 cleared in Jaipur

Jaipur, Feb 8:
The decks for holding IPL-6 have been cleared with Sawai Man Singh Stadium decided as the venue by the double bench of the Rajasthan High Court here today.
The dispute was on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC).
The court has asked the RCA to sign the MoU by February 11. The double bench of the High Court- Justices NK Jain and Meena Gomber- issued the orders.
It was decided that now RCA will pay Rs 20 lakhs per IPL match to the state government instead of Rs 50 lakhs.
The decision was arrived at by the chief secretary of Rajasthan CK Mathew after discussion between both the parties concerned. It was also decided that RCA would pay Rs one crore to the government.
The court asked the RCA to present the balance sheet which was carried to the court by the RCA officiating secretary KK Sharma and treasurer Mahendra Sharma. After going through the balance sheet, the court directed the RCA to organise the match here and give Rs 20 lakhs per match to the government.
