JAMMU, Dec 12: Sagar Dahiya scored magnificent unbeaten double century (218*), while Annam Takshith Rao made brilliant 111 runs as Haryana defeated Jammu and Kashmir by an innings and 274 runs in the ongoing Vijay Merchant Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at Teri Cricket ground, Gurgaon, here.
Earlier, batting first, J&K bundled out for a paltry total of 72 runs. Skipper Mohammad Manzir top scored with 24 runs, while Musaif contributed 16 runs to the total. From Haryana, Bhuwan Rohilla, Harshvardhan Singh and Rudhraksh Kaushik claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Haryana scored 403 runs in 78 overs, losing just one wicket in the process. Apart from Dahiya and Rao, Vivek Yadav contributed 65 runs to the total. For J&K, Abhay Tandon claimed the only wicket to fall.
In the second essay, J&K collapsed at 55 runs in 29.2 overs, thus lost the match by an innings and 274 runs. Musaif top scored with 34 runs, while Manzir chipped in with 14 runs. For Haryana, Bhuwan Rohilla bagged 4 important wickets, while Harshvardhan scalped 3 wickets. Nishant Sindhu also claimed one wickets.
