National Seminar on IT concludes

KISHTWAR,  Nov  4: Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Kishtwar Campus, a two days national seminar on “Recent Trends in Information Technology and its applications in Industry” concluded here today.
Dr Vishal Goyal was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Dr Chanderkant  was the guest of honour. The function was presided over by Director Kishtwar Campus, Prof Shohab Inayat Malik.
In his presidential address, Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik informed that such types of activities would be organized in future too so that campus could become  literally and academically vibrant.
Earlier, three sessions were held in which Dr Chanderkant Verma from Kurukshetra University, Dr Lalitsen Sharma from University of Jammu, Dr Shubhnandan Singh Jamwal from University  of Jammu, Dr Shallu Goyal from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and others speakers deliberated on the various fields of Information Technology and recent trends in the industry.
The second day of the two days national seminar on “Recent Trends in Information Technology and its applications in Industry” started with the lecture of Dr Chanderkant Verma from Kurukshetra University. Dr Verma delivered his lecture on Biometric Security wherein he introduced various biological traits which can be used to develop the biometric security systems with their relative advantages.
The others who contributed their presentations during the two days national seminar included M Naseer-ul-Haq from Kishtwar Campus of University of Jammu,  Rohit Gupta from Bhaderwah Campus of University of Jammu, Pardeep Singh from Kishtwar Campus of University of Jammu, Dr Manu Yadav from Galgotia University, Noida, Vinay from MPJ Rohilkhand University, Breily, Dr Manish Jindal from Muktsar Campus of Punjab University, Chandigarh, Dr Simpel Jindal from Yadwinder College of Engineering, Talwandi Sabo, Punjab.
Ashish Sharma, Mubasher  Hussain and Ritu Singh Parihar coordinated the different sessions of the seminar.
