JAMMU, Nov 1: Jammu Rising Stars registered emphatic wins and entered in final of the Diwali T20 League for Under-15 boys, which was played at Parade Ground, here today.
The tournament in which 4 teams namely Jammu Rising Stars, Jammu Vishal Stars, MIER Cricket Academy and Singh Akhnoor Lions are participating is being organized by Vishal Club Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Police. The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player.
In today’s match Jammu Vishal Stars defeated Singh Akhnoor Lions by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Singh Akhnoor Lions scored 83 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 6 wickets with Rohit ( 34), Sugam (20) and Nanit (17) being the main scorer. Ashim Nanda took 2 wickets, while Jugjap and Sachin shared one wicket each.
Jammu Vishal Stars, in reply chased the target in the 11.3 overs for the loss of 1 wicket thus won the match by 9 wickets. Swastik Sharma scored 24 runs, Akshit scored 21 runs and Aryaveer made 10 runs. Monu took 1 wicket. Swastik Sharma was declared as Man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda, Vinod and Shugul.
Last match of the league round of MIER Academy V/S Singh Akhnoor Lions will be played on Nov 5. at 2 pm.
