JAMMU, Nov 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Associa-tion has selected teams to participate in the forthcoming 29th Junior Women and 18th Sub – Junior Tug – of- War Championship being held from November 5 to November 9, 2016 at the Sports Ground of Adarsha Gurukul Academy and Junior College, Hatkanangale, Kolhapur, Maharashtra respectively.
The teams were selected at Green Field ground, Gandhi Nagar by S.Hardeep Singh Anand, President of the Association, Jodh Singh Isher, Secretary, Jasvir Singh, Joint Secretary under the supervision of J&K Sports Council Screening Committee Members comprising of Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu and Ravi Singh, Manager J&k Sports Council Jammu.
The selected players for the 29th Junior Women include Monika Meenia, Sonika, Nidhi, Divyanshi, Kamni, Kajal, Dils-had, Sehajleen, Smile, Meen-akshi, Soniya, Smakshi, Shivani, Gurleen, Sonia and Diksha Bhat, while the selected players for the 18th Sub Junior Women include Janvi, Sarabpreet, Prableen, Mansi, Simranpreet, Mamta, Shriya, Swati and Riya.
Sorav Dubey, Harvinder Singh, Kosar Jan and Raksha Bharti will accompany the team as coaches and managers.
President of the Association distributed kits among the players before departure which were sponsored by Trans Asia Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Unit Hotel Asia Jammu Tawi, Jammu.
