Media-XI outclasses Sterlite Cricket Club by 85 runs

Jammu, Oct 11: Media-XI team outclassed Sterlite Cricket Club by a margin of 85 runs in an exhibition match played here at GGM Science College hostel ground, today.
After winning the toss, Media-XI, led by Mir Imran, decided to bat first and added 242 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of 9 wickets in 30 overs.
Ranjit Singh was the highest scorer for the Media team who scored 64 runs in 48 balls with one six and 10 fours.
For Sterlite Cricket Club, skipper Harpal Singh, in his four overs’ spell took 4 wickets by giving 33 runs.
Chasing the target, Sterlite Cricket Club could make only 158 runs in 26 overs with the loss of all wickets.
With his 38 runs inning in 23 balls, Mukul was the highest scorer for the team.
For Media-XI, Ranjeet Singh and Jagdeep Singh took two wickets each. Six players of Sterlite Cricket Club were caught out.
Kuldeep Sharma, Member, Central Social Welfare Board who was the chief guest on the occasion was given a memento by the Media-XI team.
The chief guest assured the participating team that he will continue to organise similar matches in the future.
Ground for the cricket match was provided by Joint Secretary JKCA-Desh Rattan Dubey who was also the guest of the honour for the match.
