JAMMU, Sept 4: Jammu Sunrisers, Jammu Kings and Jammu Tigers crushed opponents in their respective matches and sailed into the next round of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Championship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC) Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Academy, here today.
In Group-A match played at Parade ground, Jammu Kings defeated Jammu Tigers by 3 wickets. Batting first, Jammu Tigers scored 98 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Ayush Andotra made 30 runs, while Abay Tondon scored 22 runs.
Abay and Kanav took 2 wickets each, while Uttkarsh and Hanjla scalped one wicket each for Jammu Kings side.
In reply, Jammu Kings achieved the target in the second last ball of the game for the loss of 7 wickets. Surya scored 24 runs, while Usmaan and Huzaifa made 23 and 14 runs respectively.
From Jammu Tigers side, Abay Tondon took 2 wickets, while Abay Sharma, Tushar and Umar took 1 wicket each.
Surya of Jammu Kings was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match played at Parade ground, Jammu Tigers crushed Jammu Superstars in last ball of the match by 4 wickets. Batting first, Jammu Superstars scored 100 runs by losing all wickets in 20 overs. Swastic Sharma chipped in 34 runs, while Rohan Gill scored 12 runs.
From Jammu Tigers side, Abay Tondon was the pick of the bowler, who scalped 6 wickets, while Moulik Jain took 3 wickets.
In the second inning, Jammu Tigers achieved the target in last ball of the game. Ayush made 27 runs, while, Aditya scored 25 runs and Abay Tondon chipped in 15 runs.
Praful took 3 wickets, while Smarpit took 2 wickets for Jammu Superstars side.
Abay Tondon was declared as Man of the Match for his 6 wickets haul.
In Group-B match played at Sehwag Cricket Academy in Heritage School, Jammu Sunrisers smashed Jammu Superstars by a huge margin of 66 runs. Batting first, Jammu Sunrisers scored 163 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Shehzad played a splendid inning of 77 runs, while Daksh chipped in 52 runs and Kartik scored 13 runs.
Praful and Gurdaat took 1 wicket each for Jammu Superstars side.
In reply, Jammu Superstars could not achieve the target and made 97 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Ragav Thakur scored 31 runs, while Swastik Sharma and Ritvik made 15 and 13 runs each.
From Jammu Sunrisers side, Anirudh, Yuvraj Singh and Krishna took 2 wickets each.
Shehzad of Jammu Sunrisers was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match played at Sehwag Cricket Academy, Jammu Sunrisers outplayed Jammu Warriors. Batting first, Jammu Warriors scored 89 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Achitinya scored 31 runs, while Yuvraj and Areen made 17 and 7 runs respectively.
From Jammu Warriors side, Kartik was wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets, while Karmanya took 2 wickets and Daksh clinched 1 wicket.
In reply, Jammu Sunrisers achieved the target in 19.2 overs. Daksh chipped in 42 runs, while Dhruv made 13 runs.
From Jammu Warriors side, Adhishwer took 3 wickets, while Dhruv scalped 2 wickets and Laith August clinched 1 wicket.
Kartik Sharma of Jammu Sunrisers was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman, Suresh Sharma, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Zafar, Abrar and Suhail.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Superstars will take on Jammu Warriors and Jammu Tigers will clash with Jammu Sunrisers.
