Tanishta Jammu smashes SCC Bataira to take on SCC Akhnoor in final

JAMMU, July 2: Tanishta Jammu smashed Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Bataira and will take on Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor in the final of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tourney, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor on Tuesday.
Elected to bat first after winning the match, Tanishta Jammu scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Raman Dutta chipped in 56 runs off 35 balls, while Nittin made 39 runs in 18 balls. Vivek scored 22 runs in 13 balls and Puneet made 17 runs in 11 balls.
From SCC Bataira side, Tinku scalped 3 wickets, while Ankush took 2 wickets. Happy, Lablu, Vikram and Panday clinched one wicket each.
In the second inning, SCC Bataira failed to chase the target and bundled out at 119 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 18 overs. During the match, one player got injured. Lablu was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Anil made 16 runs. Raman and Panday scored 15 runs each.
From Tanishta Jammu side, Puneet Kumar was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Raman Dutta and Aman took 2 wickets each.
Raman Dutta of Tanista Jammu was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Joginder Mangotra as umpires, while Ashwani Mangotra acted as scorer.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club (SCC), Akhnoor.
