JAMMU, June 18: KC Sports Club and Bhole Nath Cricket Club (BNCC) routed rivals in their respective matches and sailed into the next round of the ongoing 1st Summer T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Lieutenant Thakur Dass Cricket Club Akhnoor, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
In the first match of the day, KC Sports Club scripted 9 wickets win over Guru Nanak Cricket Club (GNCC).
Batting first, GNCC made paltry 62 runs for all out in 11.3 overs. Rhythm was the top scorer with 23 runs, while Aman made 12 runs.
For KC Sports Club side, Ankush Gill was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 7 wickets, while Sahil Lotra took 3 wickets.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 7.5 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Suryansh chipped in 29 runs, while Ateev Saini made 26 runs.
For GNCC side, Danny was the lone bowler, who managed to scalp one wicket.
Ankush Gill of KC Sports Club was declared as Man of the Match for his magnificent bowling performance.
Meanwhile, Bhole Nath Cricket Club (BNCC) crushed Govind Cricket Club (GCC) by a huge margin of 87 runs and sailed into the next stage of the tournament.
Batting first, BNCC made 170 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Boggle smashed some crispy shots and made 63 runs, while Manu and Pawan made 18 and 17 runs respectively.
For GCC side, Gagandeep scalped 5 wickets, while Kulwant took 3 wickets.
In the second inning, GCC collapsed at 83 runs for all out in 15.2 overs. Harpreet Singh was the top scorer with 33 runs while Gurvinder Singh made 14 runs.
For BNCC side, Happy was the pick-of-the-bowler with 4 wickers, while Ishan took 3 wickets.
Happy of BNCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh, Madan Lal, Sanju as umpires, which Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scoreboard.
