JAMMU, May 23: The investiture ceremony of KC Gurukul Public School Paloura for the academic session 2016-17 was held in a special ceremony within the school premises to inculcate the qualities of leadership, discipline and service among the student community.
On the occasion, Parvez Dewan, former Advisor to Governor and Union Secretary Tourism Jammu was the chief guest.
The momentous ceremony commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by the rendition of the school song by the school choir.
Principal administered the oath to the newly elected prefectorial body. Lovkesh Deep Raina has been elected as Head Boy of the school, while Anchal Sharma as Head Girl, Mukul Bakshi as Vice Head Boy and Shruti Sharma as Vice Head Girl.
Neera Dogra, Senior Coordinator extended a hearty welcome and introduced the chief guest to the gathering.
Parvez Dewan conferred badges and sashes to the elected students. In his address to the student community, he elaborated on the various ways and means to bring out the best in the students and also brought to light duties of the leaders and how they should set examples as leaders.
Banashrii Bijoli Barman, Principal of the school in her address stressed on the need of inculcating vital qualities like honesty, integrity and hard work for positions of dignity.
