JAMMU, Apr 7: National Cricket Club (NCC), Jammu defeated Super XI by 10 wickets in a low scoring match as Deepak Singh Manhas plotted collapse of the rivals at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Super XI bundled out for 65 runs as leg spinner Deepak Singh Manhas wreaked havoc by taking 4 important wickets. Pranav Mahajan bagged 3 wickets, while Vijay Dogra claimed two. Kewal scored 15 runs, while Mithun and Shubham contributed 12 runs each.
In reply, NCC chased the target in 7 overs without losing a wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. However, make-shift opener, Shiv Dutt retired hurt at his individual score of 6 runs. Other opening batsman, Manish Dogra scored unbeaten 35 runs to take his side home. Deepak Singh Manhas was adjudged as man of the match for scalping 4 wickets.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Sanju as umpires, while Vinod Kandyara was the scorer.
