Cricket Tourney by Army commences

JAMMU, Feb 3: Senior League T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force commenced at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Banihal under Sadbhavana initiative.
Eight teams from various parts of Banihal registered themselves for this Cricket Tournament.
The inaugural match of the tournament was played between Charil Cricket Club and Chamalwas Cricket Club, today. The match was witnessed by various civil administration and prominent personalities of the Banihal town.
Pitched at the local level, the tournament has provided a wide scope to the local teams to showcase their cricketing skills at a competitive platform.
As the ‘Chillai Kalan’ period comes to an end, the cricket fever has set off in Banihal area shaking out the youth from the veils of cold. The event has fast attained an acclaim even in the remotest villages of Banihal area.
