Lalu Bhajrangi wins Dangal title

JAMMU, Aug 30: Annual Dangal was organized at Panchayat Dhanna Jalara Chowki Chouri on the occasion of Rakshan Bandhan.
The 1st bout was won by Lalu Bhajrangi who defeated Virat of Amritsar and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 11,000. The second fight was held between Nissar of Doda and Kulvir of Bantalab which ended in a draw as both the wrestlers fought with equal power.
Chairman of the Dangal Committee, Yash Pal Sharma and president Paramanand Sharma addressed the function and encouraged the community youth to participate in this traditional sport.
The event is an annual feature from last 30 years in Chowki Choura on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The dangal was witnessed by a large number of people of the area.
