DODA, May 27: A special tournament for the disabled Children was organized in Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Doda today by the Special Bharat Olympic J&K in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police Doda and 10 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda, under the Scheme of Sports and Games for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Youth Services and Sports, Government of India.
MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the tournament in presence of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar, SSP Doda, Z N Manhas, Second in Command 10 RR Doda Kailash Jha, president Bharat Olympic J&K Ashwani Jojra and Principal GHSS (Boys) Doda, Tanveer Ahmed Wani.
During the tournament Badminton, Volleyball, JoJo, Wheel Chair Race and other games for the disabled were played.
While speaking on the occasion, MLA Doda, Shakti Raj appreciated the initiative of the organizers for holding the tournament.
During the inaugural function, Rajjo Devi sang the song “e wattan e wattan hum ko teri kasam” which was awarded and declared as Ambassador of Bharat Olympic J&K for Doda District.
