J&K contingent for 60th National School Games flagged-off

JAMMU, May 2: To participate in the 60th National School Games, being held under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) from May 6, 2015 at Balewadi in Pune, the State contingent of 61 players in the disciplines of badminton, handball, fencing and rifle shooting was flagged off by Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Rishi Kumar in a simple function, here today.
The contingent comprised of 10 shuttlers, 32 handball players, 12 fencers and 7 shooters in Badminton Under-19 boys and girls, Handball Under-14 boys and girls, Fencing Under-14 boys and Rifle Shooting Under-19 boys respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that these were the left out activities of School Games Federation of India for the year 2014-15.
Among other those present on the occasion were Sukh Dev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Harvinder Kour, PEM and B K Tickoo, PEM.
