JAMMU, Apr 22: Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu, Prof R D Sharma today flagged-off Educational Camp of BPEd and MPEd students of (Previous) Courses for Patnitop, today.
The group comprising of 52 students is being accompanied by 5 coaches including Ravish Vaid, Table Tennis Coach, Gagan Basotra, Football Coach, Vikas Karlopia, Volleyball Coach, Jai Bharat, Boxing, Wrestling and Judo, Vikesh Sharma, Cycling and Athletics.
Gautam Sharma, Lecturer will deliver lectures on Physiology and Psychology.
The visiting faculty comprising Dr Brij Baloria will teach morning and evening drill and how to maintain discipline in the institutions.
Ramesh Sharma, International volleyball coach will teach how to officiate in different games and Ramesh Magotra will teach Yoga and Asanas.
Experts from outside the State namely Prof Kanwal Jeet Singh, Guru Granth Sahib University, Prof Nishan Singh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr H S Randhawa, GNDU, have been requested to give outdoor training to the participants.
While interacting with the students, Prof Sharma urged upon them to attend the camp with sincerity and professional commitment and wished for their comfortable stay and successful conduct of the Camp.
Earlier, Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu briefed the Vice-Chancellor regarding the purpose of the Camp and the arrangements made for the successful conduct of the Camp.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Jai Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor and the staff of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
