JAMMU, May 30: Army Public School Ratnuchak hosted the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 – Design Thinking and Innovation (DTI) workshop for students of Classes IX to XII at the Kheterpal Auditorium. Organised under Samsung India’s flagship youth innovation initiative in collaboration with FITT-IIT Delhi and ThinkStartup, the workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 367 students.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu, who inspired students to identify real-world challenges, empathise with the people affected by them and develop innovative solutions with meaningful social impact. Drawing from his vast experience in innovation, entrepreneurship and startup incubation, Dr Sharma encouraged students to think creatively and transform their ideas into scalable solutions.
Students actively participated in brainstorming and pitching sessions under the themes of AI Living for India, Sport & Tech, Health & Education, and Environmental Sustainability.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony during which Dr Vivek Sharma presented the Leadership Appreciation Certificate to Sonal Sharma, Principal, APS Ratnuchak. The Institutional Appreciation Award was received by Mansi Dhaliwal (TGT English), Event Coordinator, APS Ratnuchak. As a token of gratitude and appreciation for his valuable contribution, Dr Vivek Sharma was also presented with a school souvenir by the Principal on behalf of the APS Ratnuchak fraternity.
