SRINAGAR, May 24: As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp being conducted in Srinagar, a 5-km NCC unity run themed “Run with Pride – Run for India” was organized today.
The event witnessed participation of around 500 NCC cadets representing various States and Union Territories across the country, symbolizing national integration, unity, discipline and patriotism. The run aimed to strengthen the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” while promoting fitness, camaraderie and national pride among youth.
The run commenced from Nishat Garden and concluded at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre, covering a scenic 5-km stretch along the banks of Dal Lake. The event was flagged off by Director General, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Virendra Vats.
Organizers said the NCC Unity Run was envisioned as a vibrant demonstration of the energy, enthusiasm and commitment of India’s youth towards nation-building and national harmony. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and public engagement, reinforcing the ethos of national unity through the National Cadet Corps.
