SRINAGAR, May 21: Four athletes from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have been selected to represent India in the 10th Senior Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2026, to be held in Dongnai Province, Vietnam.
The selected athletes include Arvinder Singh (Senior Male, 85-90 kg), Sofi Sharmeen (Senior Female, 60-65 kg), Shahid Hilal (Senior Male, 60-65 kg) and Raja Mahir Khan (Senior Male, Open 2 category).
Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, lauded the athletes and appreciated the role of coaches and the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in nurturing talent.
