Srinagar, Apr 30: In a rare feat, Engineer (Retd) Muzaffar Ahmad Jan today achieved “Hole in One” on the 7th hole while playing golf at Kashmir Golf Club here.
In golf, a hole in one or hole-in-one occurs when a ball hit from a tee lands in the cup. This rarely happens in golf as it needs to be an experienced golfer with a significant amount of luck.
Jan, an avid golfer, achieved this feat this evening during a game played at the KGC this evening in overcast weather conditions.
Jan told Excelsior that he has been playing golf for the last one and a half decade and he did it for the first time. “I am happy to achieve it. This is something every golfer wants to achieve,” he said.
The KGC, with its splendid location along Srinagar city’s main avenue M A Road, is the oldest Golf course of Kashmir valley built in 1887 by the British. So far this feat has happened a few dozen times at the KGC.
